Common Fault Diagnosis and Handling Guide for Air Compressors
As the power core of industrial production, the stable operation of air compressors directly affects the production efficiency and cost control of enterprises. To help users quickly identify and handle common faults, this article provides a systematic diagnosis and handling guide from four dimensions: abnormal exhaust, mechanical faults, electrical problems, and preventive maintenance.

If there is an abnormal exhaust fault, first consider whether the pressure is insufficient. Check the third-stage filtration system (intake/oil/oil-gas separation filter). Next, check for pipeline leaks and the status of the pressure valve. Then, check if the oil content is too high, and focus on detecting the lifespan of the oil-gas separator and checking if the return oil pipe is blocked.
For machine-related faults, abnormal vibration can be gradually investigated according to three dimensions: basic tightening → bearing inspection → main unit alignment. When there is an overheating alarm, simultaneously test the oil circuit system (oil level/oil quality) and the air-cooling system (fan / radiator).
For electrical faults, if the startup fails, follow the process of power detection → protection reset → contactor inspection. When there are frequent shutdowns, record the current parameters to distinguish the causes of overload protection and thermal protection.
Regular preventive maintenance can be carried out, strictly replacing the special oil on time for lubrication management. Replace the filter cartridge in time according to the pressure difference indication to avoid overuse. Daily check the automatic drainage valve to prevent water accumulation.
