Case Study – Ningbo Aijian Bearing Co., Ltd.  (Heat Recovery System)

Nowadays, many factories that use air compressors focus solely on the power source, aiming to save electricity and reduce energy consumption. However, they often overlook one critical aspect—heat recovery. In fact, air compressors generate a large amount of heat during operation, and this heat can be fully recovered and utilized. Doing so can bring substantial economic benefits to customers.

Ningbo Aijian Bearing Co., Ltd. is a factory with a 25-year history in Chongshou Town, Cixi City. In April last year, the customer learned that Deman offers heat recovery retrofit services and reached out to us.

Customer Challenges Before the Upgrade:

1. Both the water-cooled air conditioning system and domestic hot water system use ground source heat pumps

① Total installed power: 61.3 kW
② Annual heating cost: RMB 88,000

2. While focusing on saving electricity, the customer overlooked the waste of heat from the air compressors

3. The surface of the air compressor was so hot that it couldnt be touched

Deman's Air System Comprises of:

1. Thorough survey and optimized heat recovery solutions

2. Two 75 kW heat recovery units, capable of recovering an equivalent of 58 kW in high-grade thermal power

3. Modify the compressor’s oil circuit to divert hot oil into the intelligent heat recovery unit

4. Intelligent high-efficiency plate heat exchanger

Independently developed by Deman

② Significantly enhances heat exchange between hot oil and cold water

③ Provides continuous, free heat for the domestic water and air conditioning systems

After Installation of Deman System:

The entire system runs stably and reliably

The surface temp of the air compressor has dropped significantly, reducing heat dissipation costs

The original four ground source heat pumps are now standby units, and have not been used throughout the entire winter

Annual electricity savings of RMB 80,000 (RMB 800,000 over 10 years)

Additional supply of continuous hot water for daily use
